So now that Apple has made a display “precisely for a MacBook,” will their support for dual monitors be any better? Their support for single or dual monitors is fine, but only if you leave it in single or dual monitor mode. If you switch between “laptop” mode and “dock” mode, you have to manually resize all of your windows, rearrange all of your dashboard widgets, etc. I have tried using my external monitor with my macbook before, but spending the extra few minutes (seconds?) to set everything up for the current mode is a pain. Ok, not really a pain; just annoying. I have almost been tempted to make separate accounts on my laptop just so I could switch over real quick with all my settings. Am I missing something? Hopefully 10.6 will address this. Then again I wished the same thing about 10.5 before that came out. Anyone have any suggestions? Also, any pc users with laptops who use external displays..What is windows solution to this, if it has one?
